As I look to embark on a trip to the sands of Phuket, Thailand in the next 3 hours, I'm pleased to announce that code to implement sandboxing is now up in it's own branch in the git repo. The basic design of this sandbox code has been documented in the blog Building the eBrainPool Linux Container -...

We have been tossing up some ideas for an introduction video, which seeks to explain eBrainPool a bit better. Decided that this is a good stab at what it does, tries to be non-technical (mostly) -- we claim success here :) It is surely our best attempt to date, to explain this as simply as...

Hello everyone.....yes we haven't been able to ask someone to RTFM so far since hmm well there has been no manual ;).....well all of that is a step closer to being changed thankfully :)

As of last night I've completed documenting the code in the current master. I've formatted the code documentatio...

Found another video lying around, forgot about this one. Again, apologies for the video quality.

This shows ebrainpool running across a third device in the mix. As we have been mentioning, the real benefit comes into play when there is a multitude of devices connected. Is not sharing lik...

For those following the fun and games going on here @ebrainpool, Both Jeetu and myself are currently in heavy coding mode, working on little pieces for the next release.

A quick update on things ... we wrangled back and forth about the timelines that would be required to develop and integrate the...

We have been having a fun time of late. Talking about all this we are trying to to, with a variety of very helpful people. Love the community, Love the spirit. Its why we all do what we do. Been getting very interesting ideas from people more adept at the technologies we are using than us, and some...

This is the application gtkperf running through ebrainpool. Its a good way to understand where the display (Xorg) fits into this mix. Here the app is actually running my machine (supernova) which has the Intel x3100 graphics card and is being also run simultaneously from my machine, through ebrain...

We decided to throw the N900 into the mesh mix :) The above shows the N900 running the olsrd daemon and being able to see the other devices in the mesh :) While we still have not ported the client onto the N900 this was a good test to see where we stand on this platform....so far looking good :)

Now that we've seen a little of what eBrainPool can do, I thought I'd doodle a bit and do my best to explain how the current developer's release works under the hood :)

The above schematic shows how the different technologies used come together.

  • Olsr Routing - as mentioned earlier for mesh n...

Its been a hectic few months. We have been trying to get all this up and running, getting better documentation down, and putting things together to get the development of the next release sorted out. With this new site, coming on, this might be a good time to explain what we have been working toward...

This is Inkscape running on the early build of Moblin (which does not have the Inkscape program). We can access the Inkscape application running on a 64bit Debian install, and use it properly on the Moblin (now Meego) (32 bit) system.

As can be seen from the Openoffice video posted earlier, the...

This proved to be an interesting test, running an opengl game. We were not fully sure how this would behave, owing the way ebrain works. It does not simply stream the display between the machines. What did suprise us to be a bit honest, is the perfomance we started to see in applications w...

This shows openoffice being used on a machine which is not installed on. It is being run of a machine in the eBrainPool meshed network. The display is rendered on this machine, allowing this user to use this software.

Of course the machine on which it is originally installed on, has the...
